Checking if anyone has had their door panels or dash covered/upholstered? New door panels and dash pad are pricey and used ones are not the color I want... and I am not thrilled on a replacement plastic finish.

My door panels are in decent shape, except for one which i broke, dash pad has a few good splits . I am considering repairing the broken door panel with fiberglass from the inside, then have upholstery shop cover the door panels.. same with dash.. any input or pictures if you've done this would be great to see.

Also wondering if this could be a DIY project... Some of the bend and protruding parts of the door panel look hard to cover if material doesnt stretch..

It's not that hard to do it yourself if you have patience.
I have done some a long time ago and I have no pictures but if you are not comfortable with it take it to a shop.
I prefer doing this over buying an overpriced version that probably everyone will have.
You can make it custom.
