Just yanked off one of the pulls on the inside drivers door on my 1990 blazer, really have not looked into it yet,but has anybody come up with a clever or better way to do these,or should I just source a new set somewhere ??

There was a guy who was selling polished aluminum pull straps that were about an inch wide. I got a pair many years ago. Don't know if they're still available or not.

I have those straps if you need them. I have a set of spare doors off a parts truck that has them

I think I am going to make some stainless door pulls for it

I used a hunk of old serpentine belt for a door pull strap for a long time on one of my trucks till I came across some nice used ones at a salvage yard..:D

Those plastic covers that go over the mounting screws for the straps that clip onto the door panels suck--they always either bust off the clips,or fly off when you slam the door..
I ended up using silicone RTV to glue them on..

I know of a way to easily fix the broken off plastic ends with a paper clip. Email me if you need to know [email protected]
