door question

how come u can only put 73-76 doors on 73-76 trucks but u can put 73-87 doors on 77-87 trucks?

hmmm, i thought all 2nd gen doors would swap...i'm pretty sure i've seen mid 80's doors swapped onto a mid 70's k5, i may be mistaken tho.

I could be completely wrong, but, for some reason I think I remember that there is a difference in door glass, maybe wing window. I dont think the sheet metal is any different, but again I may be wrong

Beside electrical crap. I don't see why they woulnd'nt fit.

the difference in the door glass is its thickness.

i need doors bad and i was told only 73-76 would fit on my 73 dident know if it is true so if anny door will fit ill put them one any info is great

Any door from 73-87 (91 blazer, burb, OBS 1 ton) will swap. There is a difference in wing window glass and door panels but that's it.

the doors will swap but as said the wing window and the inner structure of the door is completely different they use a smaller door panel
