Ok,

So, never really taken apart the inside of my doors. Tried to replace a window regulator on a 96 once, and failed, and took it to a body shop.

I've pulled the door interiors, and lubed/cleaned all the window components, but thats about it.

How does the lock/latch mechanism come apart?

I need to disassemble the back passenger side door, and figure out WTF is rattling so bad. Its driving me nuts.

Any guides on how to take this apart anywhere?

Thanks guys!

Nope. I put bushings on all my pins, and the doors RARELY move on the latches.

I can hear the rattle if i pound on the door skin just above the handle. I took the interior panel off, and tried to grab stuff and see what was rattling, but i failed ot find exactly what it was. Thinking some sort of plastic clip on a rod is missing or something, but haven't found an exploded pic of it.

The lock rods are usually what rattle the most. You can put cloth or rubber sleeves on them to keep things quiet. Whatever you can come up with is usually better than GM did.

Yeah, I will second the lock rods. Some cars had a nice little foam piece that slips on over the rod. You could probably pick something like that at Home Depot, or use stick-on foam squares on the panel where the rod runs. Basically, you want to put the foam between the rod and the door where it's probably hitting.

The other thing could be that it may be missing the plastic mounting clip at the end, where the rod meets with the lock mechanism. You'll probably have to replace it if that is the case, but they should be cheap.
