I have some new door strike pins but some time ago I must have given the plastic nylon bushing to someone. Does anyone know where you can just purchase the nylon pieces from. It would be nice to have some extras any how.

thanks

When I think PVC I think pipe...PVC pipe is harder than these, seemingly.

AFAIK GM is still making them, shouldn't go wrong with the right part number. At one point I had a bag of them, used most/all of them up.

According to my records, 9601752 is the GM part number, $1.57 for 10 of them from gmpartsdirect.com, but they will probably kill you with shipping. Should be more reasonable elsewhere. $5.74/25 isn't horrible, if shipping isn't bad. Would probably be able to resell a few of them pretty easily.

There is an assorted tailgate bushing kit at the parts store. I think its a doorman product.

A couple of them are perfect, a couple are a bit big. Both worth in a pinch.

When i was dumber, and didn't realize how easy it was to adjust the strike bolt, i used to cut the bushing in half, stretch over striker, and tape back together.

They'd last 6 mo or a year.
