b!tch slap woodhouse. How much support do the doors provide on a K5? Are they a major support of the vehicle or will the truck bend and flex out of control?

All the structural support for the cab is inside the pillars/top and in the rocker panels. Take the doors off. You'll be fine. Just wear a seat belt.
