Has anyone used a dorman balancer on their 6.2/6.5 diesel? I'm usually a total OEM guy but the factory oem is insane for what they want for a balancer for these motors.

I'm getting ready to do the timing cover gasket, got a slight coolant leak externally that's pissing me off. figured i'd toss a new timing set and balancer while i'm in there.

Has anyone used one with success? A search really didn't come up with anything concrete. BTW the oem balancer is made in china (mainland) as it says on the box.

I researched it a bunch and couldn't find much info about anything to sway me either direction.

I think unless you can get the high dollar after market one from TCI than a dorman is the way to go.

Thats what I am going to get or whatever rock auto sells

I know nothing of the diesel balancers.I have one of there 350 ones on the motor in my 73 it says made in korea, china, india, usa.it seems decent quality.and came with the keys for the crank.I have about 60,000 miles on it,got it to replace the old that even a seal saver would leak on.
