I just wanted to get another check on my engine casting codes, here is what i have:

From plate in front of pass side head: V0521UZA

i think that makes it a 350 made in Flint on 5/21/81 LS9 from a c-10 or 1500 with 165 hp and a 4 barrel.

the only problem is that it appears i have a one piece rear main, and everything ive seen says that 81 had a 2 piece rear main.

Also the bell housing tab on driver side only says GM 5.7LG and i believe SGT or SGI underneath. which i havent found much info on.

Finally the head code is 14102193 which i have found tons of info on, and makes them 86-88 heads with 1.94 in and 1.5001 ex valves.

The only reason i am worried, is that just about everywhere that could leak oil is, and so i was going to pull it, clean it up and put new seals in. What engine do i need a rebuild kit for though? or will i have to piece it together since my heads are different, thats what im assuming.

Sorry if this seems noobish, im trying to be a chevy guy...just taking me a bit.

thanks in advance.

nevermind me, im just a little retarded today...its a two piece rear main, so it is the 81...

V=Flint Michigan plant/05=May/21=21st day of May/UZA=1981 350, LS9, 165HP, 4BBL

IIRC those head casting numbers are TBI heads and are centerbolt heads which did not come out until 1987.
