I'm trying to figure out what to do with my doubler adapter mounting foot. I know most prefer to have more than one crossmember but my second one (@ doubler adapter) doesn't fit flush with the framed which drives me nuts.

What about using a crossmember in the OE position, nothing on the doubler adapter and adding a rear mount like this one made by Behemoth Drivetrain?

What if I added the Behemoth mount to the tubular crossmember you see in the pic? This crossmember is for a traction bar, would this be a problem?

My #2 crossmember ended up remarkably like yours. I just welded up some spacers that fit inbetween the frame and the crossmember. Drilled the holes in the drill press, to keep them straight, et voila. I think they're like an inch and a half or two inches wide, whatever the contact area was between the crossmember and the frame. They're folded and cut flat stock, nothing special, and just made to size, no careful machining or anything :D

I was thinking about your truck Dremu and about making similar spacers for mine but then I remembered the tube crossmember which got me to wondering about using it instead. I'm just not sure if the traction bar crossmember is a good place for the t-case mount.

If you've got a trac bar mounted off it Im sure it can handle supporting the tcase. I would use the behemoth mount personally and keep it tucked up. Idk maybe its the flatbelly lover in me but that seems like it hangs down wayyyy low...

That's my thought, that second crossmember hangs way to low. My concern with the traction bar crossmember is if the push/pull action would effect on the t-case mount. The traction bar will have a shackle but it seems like some of the effort might translate back.

Triangulate it back to the frame behind the trac bar mount?

Yeah, the middle crossmember especially hangs down something fierce. Only reason I did it (well, besides being easy) was the skid plates.

I've studied that one a few times, it seems that everybody uses the 2 crossmembers. I can't think of any reason the front stock crossmember plus another on the tail housing wouldn't be enough but it would be nice to find someone that's successfully done it.
