I'm finally gettin around to puttin my 205 back together and I am twin stickin it while it's apart. Should I put the detent rods back in or leave them out.I have saw some 205's that they have had to use a bungie to keep em in gear and that's what I want to avoid. So leave em out or put back in???

Grinding the rails and keeping the detent rods keeps you from being in front hi and rear low at the same time (or vice versa). Its insurance to make sure that you can't hurt the t-case.

Without the detent rods, either rail can be shifted to any position at any time.

I have a feeling you already knew the above but others might not. Regardless, keep the detent rods and grind the rails.
