Who raised their drivetrain while installing a 203/205 doubler. I put mine in over the weekend (pics later today or tomarrow). I have the NWF adapter and according to their website I clocked the 205 up 3"s. I need to cut some of the floor but currently the 205 is just making contact with the floor and it still hangs below the frame.

I put a level on the trans pan and I see the back end is a little low, but its pretty close to level. Would it be ok if the rear of the tranny sat a little high?

EDIT: Here's pics

the only problem I know of with having output high is trying to correct driveline angles. Rear pinion would actually have to point down a little to be correct, and the odds of having enough angle available in your u-joints is doubtful. If you're talking trail toy and don't care about driveshaft vibration OR if your rear shaft has a CV, then it shouldn't be a big deal.

trans tipped forward or up in the rear means, engine is also tipped forward.

Generally the engine should be tipped back.

you didn't flip your 203 did you? just wondering what mine's going to look like soon...flipped my 203 & clocked the lomax up 4"
No i left my 203 in the stock location, I put the factory adaptor upside down to get an idea of what it would look like and it looked like building a crossmember was going to be a PITA.

I'm working on collecting a bunch of doubler crossmember pics and I will post them in a different thread for other people to use for ideas. So far I have 25 pics of about 12 different mounts

Here's a photo of how mine ended up....

It's not a Doubler setup per se but I'm dealing with the same issue you describe. I cut the floor to accomodate the Atlas, and now the flat bottom of the TH400 pan is slightly raked forward.

To me that means that the fluid is not sitting level in the pan anymore, so my temptation is to fabricate a new pan (or modify the existing one) so that the bottom of it is level with the ground again. This will add a bit more fluid capacity and hopefully keep the valvebody submerged in ATF even on odd angles.

BTW -> I checked the installed engine angle and it's at 0.0 degrees with this setup. I'll probably end up milling the intake manifold to take the angle out of it so that the throttlebody isn't all cock-eyed when it's installed.

Mine wound up in about the same location as yours is. I will see if I can get you a pic of my mounts in the next few days. I am running a 700r4-203/205... I dont know what trans you have or if it matters.
gabe
