TravisO said:Right on, Kyle! I'm glad this is still getting some attention. I'm not a big fan of the side plate either, but it's not a deal breaker. I know your innovative ideas can come up with something. I personally was thinking of something like an L shaped plate, either welded or formed/bent, where the side portion is machined to fit 'inside' the 241 case with pretty tight tolerances. Then your customers just bolt it on with some RTV and cut off the overhang. Make sense? I know this would probably add more cost than just taking it down to a local shop and having a plate welded in for $20 but it makes the kit VERY complete and idiot proof.

If there were to be a plate made that could be bolted (with recessed screws) to the adapter that could be ground/filed down by the installer to fit the cut off case, it'd be a bonus. Then said installer could have the plate welded to the front half of the case and it could later be bolted to the adapter. This would be the strongest by far but maybe the user could use some JB weld to seal the plate to the front case half.
Just an idea. I know the 13-56/205 Ford guys don't worry about it.
