465/205 i can get a 203 fairly cheap from a customer, can you double up with a 205 and 203, or does it have to be 465/203/205?
tia
You would need a '203 that bolts up to your 465. You would also need to change the input shaft on the '205, as you have the 10-spline variety, IIRC, and most if not all of the doubler adapters require the TH400-style 29-spline or whatever it is. '203's usually came behind an auto, so they're generally the 27-spline for TH350's. Anything else is gonna be rare.
Anyway, ignoring the fiddly bits above, you split your tranny and t-case, and put the good part of the '203 inbetween them. This gives you the additional 2:1 reduction between the tranny and your '205.
Make more sense? As others have said you need some adapters and stuff, so it's not an afternoon proposition ... took me a year of gathering parts and then saving up for the Doubler proper ... but if you plan ahead and get everything in the right flavours (i.e. the right input type), it's doable.
Do check out the ORD page

if you've not read it already, as there's lots of good tech info there on what you need to hook what to what, including a more detailed description of what parts of the '203 are used and where and how.
