Is there anything preventing me from running a 203 range box with a 32 spline input and a 31 spline (F*rd) output into a Chevy 205 with a F*rd 31 spline input gear?

nope, nothing wrong with that. thats what i was going to run, but now i found something else

ford 31spline input is the cheap alternative to the expensive chevy 32spline input

AFAIK the doubler shaft only comes in a 32 spline. So the Chevy would have to be 32. so yes i think there would be a problem.

Most companies that make doublers (if not all) have at least 31 and 32 spline intermediate shafts.

from northwestfab's website:

On top of our basic kit you will need:

- 1 NP203 to mate to your transmission
- 1 NP205 with either a short 32 spline or 31 spline input gear, or a Dana 300.
- A 2nd crossmember or custom crossmember
- A means to shift each transfer case from high to low range.
- Modify your driveshafts to fit new driveline length.

noob;) :haha:
