Doubler questions

Okay I know you can have the double combo of a 203/205...

But can you have a 208/205 combo?


And if you can, are there kits available?

Draws backs to the that particular setup?

Is the 208/205 weaker?

I was just on ORDs website looking at there dual crossmember for the doubler, there example was a 208/203 doubler. The 203 was redrilled. Dunno about the 208/205 combo.

So the front half of the doubler was a 208??

I can't really tell, but it looks like they redrilled the 203 to mount to the back of the 208.

There is no 208/203. They mention a 208 adaptor, but I don't think it means they mounted a 208 in front of a 203.


Get an Atlas 4 speed or put a Klune V in front of your 205.

Would a Klune V hold up to the weight of a burb???

And would that cost more than the 203/205 combo??

Yes a Klune V will hold up in a burb. I know a guy here in vegas who wheels his burb on 1-tons and 42's hard. He has had a Klune 241 in his for a long time now and has had great results with it.

Is it cheaper? I don't know. I would imagine a little less when it is all said and done unless you already have the 203/205 cases.

Yes, but you have to buy a spacer that Klune sells to clear the 205 shift rails. There is a guy here, I don't remember his username, but he runs the Klune/205.

In a way, yes. There is a guy on pirate 4x4, d.d machine is his company name. I have yet to see this setup though. From reading the thread it seems a little sketchy. Actually Stallion had this setup but sold it to another member,DPI.

You could run a klune v or NWF blackbox (which is cheaper btw) in front of your 241. Personally I would rather have something that's twin sticked. So atlas, stak, or 205 with reduction box in front of it.

Yea I remember reading that when it was first posted. Seems like an interesting setup but it still needs some work to become popular
