While I'm waiting on some cable shifters I'd like to bring my truck to the exhaust shop. On a 203/205 doubler, how does the shifter on the 203 need to be and how do the shift rods on the 205 need to be for 2 hi?

all 3 back = high
all 3 forward = low

#3 on right = front axle in/out

this is my ord tripple setup . mech linkage with levers in the cab info .

so you should have the 203 tab forward / 205 rear forward / front in middle . if your down on the case looking at it .

ORD sells a decal of the shift pattern..I have one on my floor and alot of guys have it on their dash. Its helps out in those stressful times on the trail when you want to make sure your in the right gear...you also want to make sure your not in low in the 203 and high in the 205 (I always get this confused someone correct me if Im backwards) cause it put extra stress on the output shaft..you can be Low/Low, High/High and High/Low, but never Low/High

stephen told me that was more the old days of the respline shafts . the newer new parts stuff not so much . but i still do this my self .

Thx for that thread. I never saw that one. gonna start leaving the 205 in low and switching the 203 instead.

This doesn't show the rods on the 205 section of the doubler, but it does show how things look in 2wd high range.
The lever next to the case is the 203, then the middle one is the rear output of the 205, then the front output. The rear output has the rail pulled forward. The front is in neutral.
