I have a 1991 GMC Jimmy. It has a pretty good body on it but I have run out of money to spend on so I was thinking about doving the rear. My friends and I have looked at and it doesn’t seem to hard. I was wondering if anyone had done it or does anyone have a comment about if I should do it or not.

It doesn't even look like you have smacked the quarter panels up any so why do you want to narrow the rear? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If you were having problems on tight trails with smacking and dragging the sheetmetal like we do here in AZ then I would say go for it but the panels look pretty straight.

Where are you located? What type of wheeling?

Well later on the day that picture was taken, I racked the driver side rear on a rock wall. I’m located in Lubbock Texas and I wheel form Post to La Grange. I took so pictures of the rear and I’ll post as soon as I figure out how to use my buddy’s camera. We were looking at the truck last night and decided that if I do it then we would take about 11 inches out of each side.

its narrowed a total of about 18.5 inches, it was sposed to be 18 but we cut a bit much on either side. more pics to come, we are goin out to finish it now

Poo, I was hoping for some trailer talk.... /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I wouldn't narrow it, I go by the "it's a fullsize, keep it that way" pholosphy. I can see how it would help though.

Well Boys, im just about drunk enough to do the front. Well see if it turns out. And as for those guys that say it looked better before, so did the trucks down the street. Im not as think as you drunk I am.
