Down on power

89 5.7 TBI. Put the crate motor in in Jan 04. Put about 6,000 miles on it. Just cruising around town and normal driving it is ok.
When you want to put the pedal down, it really does not want to go. Any ideas.
The injectors were replaced about 100,000 miles ago.
No check engine lite. The fuel pump has about 30,000 miles on it. New wires when the engine was new.
I will replace the fuel filter today. Check the spray pattern on the injectors, check the timing.

Fuel filter was my guess too. I have the same problem, although I have an engine with 130k, 38's and 4.10's /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Sounds like your exhaust system may be restricted.
