now its back to full body and "sleeper" crawler... it will have a glass front clip (removable for rollover duty) and removable rear fenders for smashing duty.

I know I'm going from tubed out truggy to body again:eek: but I want something I can cruise to baja with and not freeze my gonads off. I also want a rig that can crawl with the best of them so the removable panels will facilitate that (hopefully)

current plans:
350 crate with tbi
700r4 built to the hilt
np208 (lightweight and skid plated)
high angle front and rear cv driveshafts

reusing my old cage and tying it to the frame and suspension bracketry. Battery will be under the passenger suspension seat and I will have a beard bench seat made for passengers
I will have factory a/c and defrost/heat.
This rig will be able to take me snowboarding in Colorado or Utah and then take me to Baja for surf trips.

The plan:
rockcrawler / prerunner that can be daily driven
ultra reliable
superb handling on street and offroad
removable fiberglass for the rough stuff
i'll keep the steel room until I modify it:D in moab

how r gettin that stock appearance back? does the fiberglass top bolt to ur cage or did u get rid of all of it?
guess im a little confused... its an awesome idea and id love to see how ur doin it n how it turns out...
mabey its sumthin i could do sumday

I want to run 17 inch rims with a 40 inch tire (BFG and Goodyear are both making desert tires in the 40 inch variety now so I may get some used race tires until the MTR 40s come down in price). The fiberglass top will be removable as well as elements of the cage that hold it on. Without the fiberglass it should look like a buggy. With the fiberglass panels (hood, fenders, front clip, and rear top it will look k5 stock.
