Installed ORD crossover steering, butu ran into a potential problem. I have the drag link end installed in the correct hole, but it doesn;t sit in the tapered hole very far. I can barely get the nut on, but it's sitting in there right. My guess is it needs to come down another 1/2 inch or so, but that isn't possible. Anyone have an idea?

Are you using a drag link end or a tie rod end? They are the same taper (1.5"/ft) but the draglink end is reamed deeper (i.e. it's dimensionally a little bigger).

We build everything for tie rod ends unless you specifically ask for something different.

I bought the kit from ORD directly. One end is left hand thread the other is right hand.. pretty sure even I can't screw that up. Maybe the wrong part was sent? They are all parts from the kit I bought. It just doesn't seat as far down as it should and I can hardly get the castle nut threaded before it bottoms out.

Contact us somehow and we'll figure out what's going on.

Got it figured out. Small piece of metal (i think possibly from the machining process) was stuck to the inside of the taper. Wasn't allowing it to seat. All taken care of, thanks Chris. Found it when I was trying to take the picture for ya.
