I started to wonder about what kind of 1/4 times i would be able to post up earlier today when i remembered a drag race i went to a couple years ago... they would line up the lifted trucks with hot motors while the cars dialed in there stuff and see what kind of numbers the beasts would run... Post up your 1/4 mile times!!! Also if you have it motor, mods, tires, gears, tranny, etc... whatever you want to.

Also what kind of times do you think a 88 k5 with 35" tires and 350 hp/400 ft lbs of torque would run?

In my 6000lb Burb with 4:10's and 35's, no tuning whatsoever, I ran 16.41 @ 85mph.

That translates to about 340hp at the flywheel and 290hp at the wheels. :D

My truck runs 1/4 miles in 11.5 seconds all the time. It can do it all day.

Oh wait...you probably mean from a standstill

Heh.... after I replace my Tranny Mount tonight and break in my engine for a thousand or so good miles, I'll run it on the track and see what it puts down... I'm betting it's gonna be around 18-20 due to my low ass gearing.

Once I get off my butt, rebuild my 14ff and drop the locker in so Ill have a shred of traction, I might run it for the heck of it. Hey Baber, what do you think Ill knock down? :o

Old Lady Racing The Truck

Stock 91 Jimmy
350 TBI
700R
3.08's ten bolts
35X14's

18.9@70MPH

That was the best time she got out of my truck that weekend :waytogo:
She had a lot of fun doing it :cool1:

If I get a collection together next week I will run the Burb at the track :D Test and tune opens then and I'd love to run a 20 :haha:

High 16's or low 17s for yours....

damn thats about a sec slower than i thought it would be... power to wieght ratio is 14.6:1 assuming i weigh 5100 lbs. I could see high 16's or low 17's now but i forgot to add I will have 4.56 gearing soon enough... I figure with a 700 r4's low first gear and then OD I should be able to at least put down mid to low 15's right?

I love drag racing my truck but ive never done it at a track where I could a time slip these old trucks are very sleeperish. The last truck I raced aginst was my freins '84 short bed 2wd lowered 3 in with a built motor it was kinnda cool when he couldent pass me :D

LOL i enjoy killing civics at stop lights in a 5000 lb truck with 6" lift and 35's... it ruins their day and makes mine.

There was a guy here with a 350, carb, in take, headers, 3.08, 465, 33" hawgs and he was running in the 17-18 range I belive. Im sure my blazer could do better then that.
