Draglink question

/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Well I called ORD an the lady on the phone told me No they wont interchange, but she also told me that you can't use the same pitman arm. Both axles have the same WMS to WMS measurement /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I just want to know why if they wont interchange. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Is the reason they won't work because of the pitch of the arms? Don't the 60 high steer arms angle down away from the wheel?

Well the lady on the phone said they both use the same TRE's on the ends. I just want to know why the draglink isn't the same?

It is a length issue. The x-over 44 DL is about 2" longer than a D60 IIRC. The D60 arm is direcly above the pivot point (king pin) The D44 is 1.5" away from the pivot point (ball joint). You could go and cut the DL down a little and re-tap it. I don't know the exact differences in length however.

exactly what he said, I though t I had a problem too, but then I talked to the guys in the shop, call back with a measurment ( I think the D60 one is 37.5") and they will replace it if it's wrong. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
