So i washed out the back of my blazer today. it was buck nasty looks like previous owner never cleaned back there. Dirt and mud and pine needles.

there were little puddles of water gathering in all sorts of places, namely near the back gate in the corners, in the front of the rear wheelwell before it drops to the front seats and in the channel by the rockers.

I moved it up on an incline and most came out but i was wondering if anyone put those rubber drain plugs in areas of their truck for easy washing? If so were did you get them? Also what do you do to prevent water hanging around in the channel between the floorboard and rocker were the door seal is?

Havent installed any drain plugs, but I did fix the problem with the channel next to the rocker. I cut out the rocker and replaced it with rectangular tube.

lol well i guess that is an option but My rocker isnt in too bad a shape and i dont feel like hacking it up just yet. I thought about just cutting that seam off and welding a new bead down it and not running the lower door seal, but i dunno about that. I guess i could drill a few holes in the seam for drainage.

marine shops and hardware stores will have drain plugs that are self sealing. all you have to do is drill a hole.

hrmm thats a good idea. i think im gonna head out to pick and pull tomorow and scrounge trunks for the round plugs. figure that is the easiest and cheapest.

anyone have a solution for the rocker/floor channel?

One of Fords better ideas was drain plugs. My old Bronco had rubber plugs in all the low spots. All you had to do was pull them, set the lawn sprinkler inside, turn on the water and presto chango clean truck.
