Dreaming of ways to hack up my new K5

What do yall think about chopping the body right behind the rear seat and fabbing in a wall where the (shortened) hardtop would still fit. Then make a 2.5' shortie flatbed. I've got way more of a rust issue than i thought and just coming up with weird ways to combat that problem... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

sounds doable. anything is possible just some things are improbable. that could be an interesting project especially if you actually shorten up the cap. That wouldn't be a very easy portion of it but other wise just attack it with a plasma cutter and or torch and or sawzall. If you build tbe back wall you better make sure to reinforce it real well because I have the feeling your losing a lot of structural strength in the back with that.
