What do yall think about chopping the body right behind the rear seat and fabbing in a wall where the (shortened) hardtop would still fit. Then make a 2.5' shortie flatbed. I've got way more of a rust issue than i thought and just coming up with weird ways to combat that problem... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

sounds doable. anything is possible just some things are improbable. that could be an interesting project especially if you actually shorten up the cap. That wouldn't be a very easy portion of it but other wise just attack it with a plasma cutter and or torch and or sawzall. If you build tbe back wall you better make sure to reinforce it real well because I have the feeling your losing a lot of structural strength in the back with that. Hey how do you like that cummins 6 speed? thats my dream daily driver right there /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dang, here ya go again! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just remember, you don't have an ungodly huge shop to work with.

Maybe if you cut it short enough to work with a cowboy camper that would save fabbing a hardtop

Now don't you wish you had kept that porch swing you made when you bobbed the old blazer? Would have been real easy

Wait, I have an idea...

how about you stop molesting vehicles, and just fix the floor like you were talking about yesterday? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Or you could just cut off the back of the truck. Sure. Why the hell not. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

I looked up Laketex in the dictionary and came up with this:

A. One who contorts and modifies K5's beyond recongnition. B. One who cannot leave the natural body structure alone and has to hack away at it.
