Drilled brake drums...

Nope, never heard of it. Most everything I read today says that even drilled rotors are generally a bad idea. Every drilling is the potential start of a crack, which is apparently fairly common.
Wonder if that was "the thing" back when front drums were still common? Given that the rear drums do very little work under normal circumstances (assuming truck disk/drum setup), it would seem to offer very little return on investment for that type setup.
