Ok, just rebuilt the D60 and now I can't get the stub shaft out far enough to get the snap ring on. I have put a pry bar in on the ujoint side and pryed out while litely tapping in on the flange, and it's a no go. I took the collar out and slid the flange in and it went all the way so HELP!!!! When I am prying in on the stub the axle is almost flush with the outside of the hub. GOT ME?? Next?

Are you positive that you have the right stubs for your application?

factory stuff

Factory shafts, just tore it completely down and resealed and bearing everything. Was on there when I tore it down, it only like 1/4 inch from being on the money but it just ain't happening.

Hmmmm. Is the slinger on all the way? I'd check that and also check to make sure that your spindle seals and bearings are ok.

I had a similiar problem one time and was because of the small spindle bearing. It was basically toast and the rollers were falling out of it which wedged the shaft and did not allow it to slide out far enough. The other things to look at, as already mentioned, is make sure the dust shield/slinger on the inside of the stub is not holding it back, and that the entire wheel hub is completely seated.
