Heres for you spring swap / shackle flip guys. I have almost completed the 63" spring swap on my 72 blazer with a shackle flip and all. i went to measure the driveshaft angle now and I have big problems.

my drive shaft is at a 16* angle down. my rear end is also at a 16* angle down and my transfercase is at a 4* angle UP (truck is jacked up in the rear). This makes it perfect for a CV type shaft but I dont have the money for that now :dunno:

as it sits I have to do a major shim job. I do not want to cut the perches because I will probably do a CV shaft during the winter.

Any suggestions? can a driveshaft shop just give me the double joint portion of the CV and put it on the end of my shaft now? or maybe steal one from an extra front shaft I have laying around?

If the shaft is still long enough to even work, then just run it as is to see if theres a problem. A driveshaft shop should be able to weld a good used cv joint on the end of your existing shaft, although the length might need to be changed too. Probably no warranty with it obviously.
