I did a 3-4” shackle drop and now my rear drive shaft angle sucks. I can’t afford a SYE and CV shaft right now. Can’t I buy a Tcase 2" drop kit to drop the Tcase down?

Would a Tcase drop affect the linkage on the tranny and Tcase?

Specs – 1985k5/305/700R/np208/

The most common method is to move the spacers on the transfer case mount from the top to the bottom which will drop the case about 1". I took some 1" square stock and used it instead of the stock spacers.

Don't flip the spacers - this can cause serious frame damage on impact. Use square stock or rectangle tubing to fabricate an xmember drop.

I concur batman...Flipping the factory spacers= bad idea=bent frame

Happened on my last truck..cant put parts on a bent frame..

Square stock or something hard, flat, and strong, with 2 holes in it....

Same thing i did.
its betta to go the full length then using the 1" squares or the round spacers already there.

You can use degree shims to angle the rear axle up at the tcase. Use an angle finder to find out where your at now, then report back. Someone can tell you which shim to use.
