Are the adapters for the driver vs passenger drop 241s the same? I mean, can I use a passenger drop 241 adapter with a drivers drop case?

nope, the pattern is the same and the clocking of the pattern is the same. the only way to get a different clocking of the 6 bolt round pattern is to change the make of the tcase; IE ford or dodge. the mounts are only different depending on if its the tall or the short adapter.
