Doing my rebuild of a M1009 body to civilian it's been so long since I took all the parts out of my donor blazer I can't remember about the driver's side kick panel. I have the plastic panel but my question is: The current vent (manual) that came with the M1009 leaves a hole in the sheet metal of the kick panel area. Do I need now to just cover the whole area with sheet metal to close off the left side?
Also have another question. Where does the metal bracket that supports the seat and key buzzer mount? It is a two hole flat bracket that has a buzzer, a relay, and a flasher on it. I have cruise and that bracket mounts to the passenger side of the steering column support tunnel behind the instrument cluster but I can't figure out where the buzzer bracket mounts. Going by the wiring it seems it would be somewhere around or above the gas pedal. If anyone could take some pictures of the underneath of a dash on a fully equipped model that would help.
Thanks in Advance.

I happen to be home today cause my kid is sick. So I went downstairs and snapped some pics. My drivers side kick panel is solid, originally an a/c truck. I think the bracket you are looking for goes up between the gas and brake pedals.

Wow, thanks a lot. You hit it all right on the head. I can see your cruise module in the picture and the seat buzzer/flasher right underneath. Now all I have to figure out is where it bolts. It's not easy finding everywhere things mount on a truck that never had those parts. There are small dimples in the sheet metal in most places where screw holes would be and you just have to look for them. I had a hard time locating the AC recirculating flap and vacuum cylinder then realized it goes outside in the cowl area just underneath the lower windshield panel. Had to drill a hole for the vac line and it's grommet to go through the cowl above the heater box. Again, the M1009 never had this so the holes aren't there. The kick panel is what I thought too. I'll have to cover with sheet metal and sealer. Really great pictures thanks again.

It might attach to the brake pedal bracket? In pic 3 you can see where the gas pedal hinges. And you can see the bright thing that gets blurry, that's the brake pedal. Hard to see, even laying in there and looking up, but it looks like it is on the brake pedal bracket. Glad I could help.

Ok, your pictures solved the problem that was right in front of my eyes. The buzzer bracket gets mounted together with the cruise module bracket through the same holes. I just needed to put the buzzer bracket up against the steering wheel tunnel first and then the CC module bracket is bent to go around the buzzer assembly. All set and thanks again. Will get some pictures tomorrow.
