a few months ago I installed a new window motor and regulator on the drivers side of my 86 blazer. I never installed it properly. I can roll the window up but it doesn't go in the right track unless I guide it with my hand. Then, when rolling it down as soon as I hit the switch it make a "CLUNKING" noise, falls out of track and then rolls all the way down. If I try to roll it back up, I have to guide it with my hands. Its a pain in the @$$ and my wife complains about it all the time. I have it apart now and I can't seem to find out what is causing it to come off track. Is the window loose in the regulator and it has to much play?

well, I've got the window rolling up and down on track but I still have the clunking noise when the window rolls down. The motor and regulator are both new. there is no clunking noise when the window is removed though, :doah:
