i've got a cucv blazer with a d60 front, 14bff rear, th400/np208c. if i wanted to get rid of the 208 in favor of a 205, what is involved? can i use my old driveshafts?

ttt, and maybe i should give more info. i want to put in a nv4500/205 combo, BUT if a sm465/205 combo uses the same length driveshafts i have now, that's what i'll do.

thanks in advance.

208 t-cases use a slip yoke @ the case. 205's use a fixed yoke. Some later model 205's did come with slips, but not as strong or common. Also I think a 208 is shorter than a 205, but I'm not sure.

I can't comment on the ability to use a different tranny. But if they are different overall lengths, then you'll most likely need to change.
