I know its been asked before but sometimes the search function pisses me off. Anyways who has run the stock slip yoke drive shaft with a 6" lift?

I'm running about a 6" lift (4" rear with a zerorate), 3* shims and a dropped transfercase, Still running the factory line

I have, whats your question?

The stock shaft usually works fine with the later model blazers when the t-case is dropped a little. I ran mine for a year or 2 and finally had a new custom shaft built because 1310 joints and seeing how far the slip yoke was slid out always kept me un easy when ever hooking to a trailer or offroad.

Yeh basically the only reason Im worried is because my 6" lift and 1 ton swap is gonna happen only 2 weeks before I go back to school so I didnt want to have to worry about dealing with that while tryin to get ready for school. After I get settled in Ill order one up tho..Thanks Bobby

Those weren't 1310s, they were Saginaw S44 joints. Either way a 1350 is a good upgrade, that's what I run as well. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

well since you are swapping in a 14bff than I will share more with you...I noticed that the 14BFF lifted the rear another .5-1" or so over the 10B because of the larger tube and since I had a 10B it looked like it pulled the shaft out just a little further because a 14BFF pinion doesn't sit any further than a 10B pinion. If you have a 12b then it will help you out because a 12B pinion doesn't sit forward as far as a 14B.
