Can someone provide me the stock driveshaft lengths for an '88 Jimmy? I only tube length (weld to weld). The truck has a 3in lift but both shafts are bottomed out. I had to pull U-Joint caps to get them out. Never seen this before. I am assuming a PO put in new shafts to compensate for a lift he didnt have.

Can't help with measurements.
Po could have had bigger lift then changed to 3".

All the drive shaft shops have how to measure for custom shafts.
I would use those get the overall length, and adjust the tube so slip joint was in middle at rest. I am guessing you are gonna shorten yours yourself?

Sorry that I forgot about this.
I get 26" on the rear, 16.25" on the front. Weld to weld on them.

Well, that's going to vary. And it can be a significant difference between manufacturers.
The absolute way is joint center to joint center.

Thx guys.
Rear: 38 center joint/ 21.5 w2w
Front: 26.6 center joint/ 16.5 w2w

@Wes Harden I have three inches of shaft before I even see splines on the front driveshaft.

I have never ran across this before so it could very well be the truck was lowered from a previously taller lift. However, that does not appear to be the case due to the abundant first hand history of this vehicle.
