Finished my K5 ton swap

Shopping for rear driveshaft, standard slip 2 piece, 1410 yokes.

Got a great quote from Tom woods. They said 3in .083 wall tube was default standard material.

And that I could upgrade to .120 wall for $50

This rig sees midwest wheelin, mainly muddy 2 tracks, ditches, creek crossings, etc.

I've only ever messed with stock shafts. Is the upgrade needed/worth the extra coin?

Any opinions welcome

I’d probably do it. If you have it you might never need it, if you don’t....

Mine’s .187” but I would definitely go at least .120”

Sounded like a reasonable upgrade for the price, figured I'd ask in case there were any negative tradeoffs.
