How long is the spline length on the rear shaft of a 91 burb with a 241 T case. I put in 8 in. of lift and my girlfriend wants to go camping. I measured the amount sticking out and it is 3 in. It is about 1 1/4 in. more then it was stock before the lift. Just going camping and not off roading, so just street driving. I measured my 81 burb with 8 in. of lift that I had lengthened and have 2 in. sticking out. I am going to get it lengthened but don't have the cash right at the moment. Thanks

The best way to find out is to remove the driveshaft. Unbolt the two straps holding the u joint in, and pull the shaft out of the transfercase. You should be fine driving on the street. I have 4" of lift with a 208 and have drivin on and offroad.

Me too.

I lifted my burb 6" and used a Zero Rate to move the axle forward an inch so I did not have to lengthen the d-shaft.

My burb sits on a sloped driveway, so I didn't want to have to block the wheels to pull the shaft. Mesa driveshaft says the spline on the yolk is 6 in. long, cause I called them about making a new shaft. New shaft is $350. ouch.

I measured my spare driveshaft today. The splines are 6.5" and it looks like 3" is exposed on my truck. Based on the assumption that the T-case output shaft comes about to the end of the seal - I have about 3.5" of spline engagement at ride height.

I called phoenix rack and axle and they said $100. plus new joints. They use neapco joints. I used to always use Borg warner power brutes.
