I have an 82 chevy and was wondering what would be the ideal set up (trans, t case, axels) i could run i mainly jusr wheel around my house and mud in the strip pits any one have an opinion
if ur going to run a tire over a 35" i would go with a 14bff for the rear and a D60 for the front. a d44 might last in the front but go through balljoints a lot.
well right now it has 10b front and rear i put on a 6inch lift and 35's i realy want to go full one ton with d60 and 14ff but didn't know how big of a differnce it kwould make
well i dont have a lot of motor just stock 305 (for now) but i do have a problem with keeping my right foot off the floor and i can afford it but is there anything i will have to do as far as swithing them will they just bolt up like the 10b and use the same drive shaft or is the u joint on the d60 and 14b a different size
the 14 bolt has a 1350 series u joint and ur driveshaft uses a 1310 series. but thats not a problem. just go to napa and get the conversion u joint. 2 caps fit the 14bff and 2 caps fit ur driveshaft. just tell them u need u joint #447. and the front D60 uses a 1310 so ur fine there.
