While driving my K5 i notice in the higher gears it feels like someone is adding weight to it and it starts to bog down. The motor is working good and the trans shifts fine thru the lower gears. I pulled out my NP 241 to rebuild/ add a SYE kit and put the 208 back into keep it drivable. I don't think that is the case since it is mechanical and not electronic. But what do i know. I have a TBI 305/ 700R4. I thought it might have been oil issue but both engine and trans check out fine. It was VERY noticeable directly after the transfer case swap. When i pulled the 241 out a lot of fluid came out between the T case and tranny, prob 2 quarts. i thought that was weird but moved along. When i got it all back together, i made sure it had fluid up to the level and it worked fine during testing the next day. I topped off the fluids again last night and yes the transmission was running and warm. It worked good this morning but once the truck got warmed up it started again. Even warm, it shifts fine thru the lower gears but once i get to 4th, it feels like I'm dragging a trailer with no wheels. Any input about what i may have done or what can fix it without ANOTHER trans replacement would be greatly appreciated. Im sure I'm missing a diagnostic point that will prob answer this riddle. SO please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you!
