I have everything I need to swap my T350/203 to a 465/205 but I was wondering how hard is it to get going again on a step hill with a 465. Do you spin the tires/loose traction trying to get going again w/granny low, transfer case in low? Or is it low enough not to do that? Burn through clutches alot doing this?
Thanks for your help, trying to decide what to do. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

most cases where im climbing with the tranny and t case in low, I can just hold the truck with the brake and let the clutch out, letting the brake off as i do, and it will just crawl, without slippage, most times, no fuel necessary.

No need to balance gas and clutch when in low range. I just start in idle and has never once died in the process. Since your not reving it up it doesn't hurt anything.

Thanks guys, I was hoping for some answers like that. Now I have another project to complete! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
