Drivshaft Issues

Recently bought a slighly used rear CV driveshaft for my 1990 K5. I had to have it shortened and blanced to make it fit with my current setup. When I installed it, it seemed to drive fine but I noticed a slight vibration around 25mph then went away and once I got past 55 the vibration got worse the faster I accelerated. I know it can't be the angle because I have an NP241 with SYE. My guess is it wasnt balanced properly or one of ujoints it bad? U-joints had no play at all in them when I pulled the driveshaft and the CV had no play either. Thanks for help.

Had a similar problem. With a CV, the pinion yoke should be pointing at the tranny output as opposed to equal angles at each end like a non cv. You didn't mention pinion angle, so I thought I'd toss it up to bat around.

That's what fixed my vibe...smooth at any speed now.
