I gave them the measurements of what I wanted and was delivered as ordered.
look at it like this, the distance between the pitman arm and the steering arm(height difference) is what it is. a so-called drop drag ling does nothing to that distance. the "s" shape eases the angles, but it will still bind up on droop or compression. The closer the pitman arm is to the steering arm, the better you are.another related question.. which is better, if either, between a drop pitman arm or a drop drag link? any advantages/disadvantages to either?
I'm just kinda repeating how Stephen at ORD explained it to me when I was deciding what to do. I would personally say its the better idea based on what I have gathered.so a drop pitman arm is the "better" solution?
if thats the case, whats the theory behind x-over?im not totally buying into that, I have had my old shortbox twisted up pretty bad with 9" lift and 39.5s and never lost my steering at all.
if thats the case, whats the theory behind x-over?
heres my take on it.excuse my weak paint skillsNot trying to say either is better than the other, Just stating that I never had any problems running my setup, X-over is a totally different ballpark, I was never saying anything about that.
Just not buying the dropped arm is better than a dropped draglink. Im not too sure one is better than the other, Running huge lifts you have to run a combination of steering correction

I know, but with push-pull steering there are times when you WILL loose steering, period.X-over is a totally different ballpark, I was never saying anything about that.
Ok, one more time and I'm done. A "dropped" drag link does nothing to improve steering geometry. all it does is relieve the angles on the rod ends. if thats all it would take to make a steering correction, a 12" S-drag link would be all you needed for 12" front springs. Try it.I guess im still not seeing what you are trying to say, Your drop arm is gonna do the exact same thing the dropped draglink will do
Better to use a raised steering arm than a dropped pitman; the pitman rises and falls with turning, the steering arm does not.heres my take on it.excuse my weak paint skills

and that fits in this discussion how?Better to use a raised steering arm than a dropped pitman; the pitman rises and falls with turning, the steering arm does not.
