When you lift a straight axle 73-up chevy is it best to use the dropped steering arm supplied with the lift kit, or buy a dropped drag link? For now I plan to keep it cheap and use the stock steering setup but maybe in the future I'll buy a crossover steering kit. For that I have a pair of flat top D44 knuckles and they're out of a half ton. I'm assuming it doesn't matter if they're out of a 1/2 or 3/4, they're exactly the same right? Thanks, Kevin

I'm just using a steering arm and have had no problems.

knuckles are not the same 1/2 ton are 6 lug 3/4 ton are 8 lug

I did not like the feeling with the dropped arm went with dropped drag link was better but then went with the sky x-over steering great!! jm .02
