superlift drop drag link ends-have we found a way around buying them from superlift? maybe the same size tie rod ends from something else that fits these or a cheaper source ?

Good luck.

Buy a whole new drag link for around $125-ish thru National Tire & Wheel. For that price, you get the whole thing compared to Superlifts replacement ends which will cost the same as this whole price.

Or...

Ditch the draglink you have. Its nothing but problematic. Get the factory type straight draglink and correct your steering by using a drop pitman arm and/or a raised steering arm.

Stock type push/pull steering, no crossover.

I'm having a hard time finding tie rod ends and a center link.i need the left one that has the shock mounting hole in it and goes all the way across to te right side .

OEM Moog TREs are ES2234R(passenger) and ES2233L(driver). I'm sure you'll have to go to a junk yard for a center link, but for about $10/foot you can make a new one out of 1.5"x.250" DOM that is in a whole different world of strength.

thanks for the part #s . Thats my second option ,mine doesn't have a center link it's all one peice till the adj sleeve on the right side . Tie rod's made to it with steering shock hole in it.

If you're looking for a new tie rod, your local Pep Girls should be able to get all the parts you need.

Outer left and right TRE's and the adjusting sleeve. I can get these at Car Quest all day long.

I just checked www.oreillyauto.com and they have everything you need. I didn't know what year rig you had until now when I read your sig at the bottom.

Go to that site and punch in your rig info and search for tie rod end and adjusting sleeve. They're all there.

If I understand correctly, and the drivers side TRE is actually a whole center link and about 52" long...That sounds to me like an OEM Dana 60 TRE.

If that's the case, I would ditch that for either a stock 1/2 ton-3/4 ton center link and TRE assembly, or make your own out of DOM (my suggestion). Last I looked, a replacement drivers-side TRE/center-link was somewhere around $120-$150 and special order, which is just plain stupid. I can put together a hell of a lot tougher tie rod from DOM with threaded inserts and new ends for $100 .

Are these dropped drag links really a huge weak link? i just bought one(pro-comp) instead of buying a steering block and a pitman arm.
At the time i bought it a had 2 thoughts in mind:1 less leverage on the steering arm/knuckle, pitman arm and the frame, :2 it was a temporary solution until x-over , that could be re-sold to anyone else with a 6-8 in lift.
Did i screw myself there?

Not just a weak link. They just wear out too fast. And the actual part to replace the worn DRE's cost as much as the whole thing in the first place.

ebay to the rescue!!

rough country on ebay-----82 + ship 4'' drop drag link--has to go through ebay ,on there website they dont even offer them-says the online operator. shipt took 5 days.

I feel they are an expensive bandaid for an already poor design. The raised steering arms are very common and cheap, and don't wear out. Same with dropped pitman arms.
