I seem to have a slight leak on my oil pan, actually a baseball sized hole in it:doah:

It looks to be bolted to the tranny with 4 bolts, am I looking at some fancy method of removing this thing or what??

any insight or input would help, its on my 08 colorado

if i recall there is a special alignment setup to reinstalling newer pans on gm motors. hope 4x4high sees this to help.

I could ask a tech tomorrow for you, but between you and Jason I'm positive you can figure it out.

looks like I take down or move the rack and pinion and then it will come down

jason ill call you tomorrow,

as for the baseball sized hole.... whoops are exciting, it gets beter with more speed and bigger whoops that are close together:D managed to even nail the oil filter too:crazy:

got her all patched up, just took about 2 hours maybe three, hardest part was getting the steering shaft back on the rack and pinion when i was done.

sealed her up with the right stuff no leaks woo whooo:woot:

as for buying something i have owned..:eek1::yikes: maybe the frequent flyer miles transfer lol
