is it ok to drop the transfer case to get the rear shaft coming from the transfer case to go through the center bearing straight instead of a slight angle. no vibrations yet, just worried the center bearing will wear out quicker. any concerns with doing this.

You probably won't get much response from this question since it has been posted numerous amounts of time. Use the search feature.

I typed in "lowering transfer case":

I have my transfer case dropped, but I had vibes.

IFIWY I would just leave it if there are No vibrations.

If you do lower it, do what I did before it's too late and boogers up your frame from smashing your x member on the rocks or whatever.

I cut 2 peices of 1" square tubing the length of the crossmember and used that as a spacer instead of the bolt spacers. This helps distribute the load with less leverage. Also if you can get some flat stock to go on top of the inside frame rail the length of the span would help IMO.

This is what I have done and I have yet to test it though
