I have a 91 blazer with 14 ff with shackle flip and zero rates in the rear and the front has dana 60, 4in. tuff country ez ride springs and diy4x ez inch in front and I have installed the ORD 1 in. body lift. I have moved the rear axle back 1 1/2 in. and moved the front axle forward 1 1/2 in. Question is, do I need to lower my transfer case some or would it be best to leave it where it was from factory. My mechanic friend that is helping me said that everyone he knows always lowers it. He said the blazer came with the spacers to lower it but the factory has the spacers on top of the frame but they are there
so we can lower it if needed. My thinking is now that I am running the 1 ton axles my ground clearance is not what it was even though I plan on running a 37 in. tall tire. I don't want the transfer case any lower than it has to be. What is your thinking on this.
As always, THANKS for all the help. :dunno:

Don't lower the transfer case and definitely don't use the factory spacers to do it, they are for higher bolt tension and definitely not for lowering the transfer case (they will crack the frame)

should I leave them on top of the frame? The bolts went through the frame then the spacers and I guess they had a washer and nut on top. The guy helping me had removed everything when I wasn't there. How would u bolt it up?

All right, got it. Thanks for the info. Do you know how much torque to put on it? Say around 50 - 60 ft.lbs. or just real tight? And do you use the blue lock tight on these?

Sounds great, thanks for telling me that. Chris stated above, that the spacers are for greator bolt tension. I wonder if u don't use them, does it loose some strength?
