Are the drum brakes from a 6 lug 10 bolt and a 6 lug 14 bolt interchangeable?

The reason I ask is this, i just picked up a SF 12 bolt last night, thing is in perfect shape, has been powdercoated, etc. Has everything except for the brakes, the backing plate is there and the drums themselves are there, but no internals. I have brand new brakes on my 10 bolt, was wondering if i could pull them out of there and swap em onto the 14sf. I would imagine no. If I cant, anyone know where I can get the replacement internals? And no I do not really want to go to a disc setup unless its going to cost me the same amount. Thanks.

I'm a little confused because you first want to know if the 10 bolt and 14 bolt brakes interchange but then you say you picked up a "SF 12 bolt last night". I'm going to guess you made a mistake and meant you picked up a SF 14 bolt. At any rate it's doubtful that the brakes will interchange. Your local auto parts store will have the new shoes and hardware kits you need along with wheel cylinders. The 10 bolt axle came with two different brake options you you'll need to know which one you have (drum width is what they'll need to know).

the SF14's I've had were bigger brakes than any 1/2 ton stuff.
