Are all the parts the same on a drw and srw dana 60, except for the hubs..? are the rotors the same..?

Anyone ever machine the hubs to convert em, there expensive to buy. Is there an article on this, ive searched and havent found any.

The holes in the rotors are a different size between the two, there is a way to use one rotor on the other but I forget which way that goes.

As for modifying DRW to make them SRW width, it's generally considered unsafe. The SRW hubs have material all the way around the wheel mounting surface, the DRW hubs have roughly half that (they are kind of a clover leaf pattern) where you would want the wheel to mount.

There have been people that have done all kinds of modifications to DRW hubs, turning off the OEM wheel mounting surface, welding pieces to fill in the gaps on the DRW hubs, welding a ring over the DRW inner most 8 bolt pattern (to make a new WMS) etc. No matter how much material is added, welding, machining etc. you'll always end up with a non heat treated, weld heat affected part that won't be as stout as a stock SRW hub.

Ok ill have to find hubs or buy new ones, i know there not cheap........thankyou, it will be on my daily driver so i really dont like the unsafe feature. How much wider are they than the srw hubs...?

yea i found it right after i asked:rolleyes:....

The way i see it is if i use the single wheel hubs with the drw rotors ill have to drill the wholes from .562-.640, so maybe on the sas it would be better just to buy a set of srw rotors and pads to make the brakes all new anyway... Ill have to see what shape there in i guess when i get them off.

From srw to drw it will fit right togeather. The holes are larger but it will work.

Pads are the same, the only difference in rotors are the size of the 8 holes (I believe you are right, you can drill out the DRW rotors to fit a SRW hub)

How about the other way around tho, will the larger holes in the rotors be ok with the drw ...?

Search will help you, I have SRW hubs on mine but I know I re-used the DRW rotors so I believe I just drilled them out and that was it. It's been many years so I don't want to tell you that's 100% true but I'm almost positive that's all you need to do.
