:D

a buddy of mine told me that this is possible with a $300 input shaft and an adapter
:D:D
it would give 380:1 with 4:10s in bull low, bull low( 6:55:1) 4 low(1.95:1) imagine np205 gear change as well..

it would be with 42s or so

There's more info on pirate about it. It seems that most are skeptical about the input shaft of the second 465 being able to stand up to the torque that it would create. There would be almost 7x the torque coming out of the first 465 and going into the second 465 than what the input shaft of the 465 was designed to handle. If you ever take one apart, they're not real big. 1-1/8 10 spline IIRC. I've broken one before, and I didn't even have dual 465's.

word, i read a few threads on pirate and it seems the big issue is snappin those inputs.

I just use google to search pirate. Doesn't find all the threads and it's a pain, but it's better than nothing.

Just type in:

site:www.pirate4x4.com dual 465

into the google search bar, and it will limit results of "dual 465" to those found on pirate 4x4.

Don't forget the overall length would be tough to stuff into a K5's wheelbase...maybe with another 24" of wheelbase it'd be doable.

true, the 465 is about 12" without a bellhousing.

yeha after much research ive decided that the lomax tcase for 1100us is the best setup.. bolts up, no harsh driveline angles... etc

I only started thinking about this setup when I was designing the crew cab, now that it's stolen I am just holding on to the parts I have till I find the right candidate.
I agree it's not an option with a K5 but a LWB truck it's a good size.
