dual batteries- where to get the 2nd tray?

gonna put a 2nd battery in my truck and was wondering where to find a battery tray? GM would be preferred.. they dont happen to be interchangeable do they? thanks......

Stock diesel GM trucks....

Any GM truck with a diesel had dual batteries...you can get new trays from a GM dealer,or used junkyard ones...not sure if they are the same--there might be a "right" and "left"...should bolt right in !..

I managed to get one from an 81 + into my 80. I was only able to use three mounting points, but it worked and looked good. Just put two bolts into the fender, using a wrench through the marker light, and a ratchet in the engine bay. I then drilled a new hole in the core support, and put a bolt down there. If you used a spacer, you could also use the bolt hole that would fit on an 81 + on the fender well. Biggest challenge was making a battery cable long enough to get all the way over to the battery.

I had to relocate my battery to make things work nice with the TPI -- My old battery tray is now my air filter housing mount

My 82 k5 came with dual trays, but i did notice that lmc truck sells both if you can't find one
